Welcome to Coccinellidae of the Indian Subcontinent

Coccinellidae of the Indian Subcontinent is a resource on lady beetles of the Indian region aimed at taxonomists as well as amateur and applied entomologists. Lady beetles of the Indian region are poorly known due to lack of collections spanning the entire region and systematic studies have remained incomplete.

This resource attempts to provide basic faunal information on the known species from this region. Users will find an account of the species known from South Asia (India and its neighbouring countries like Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan) with pages for all species and subspecies, together with distribution maps and a comprehensive bibliography. Species are illustrated wherever possible with diagnostic information to enable easy identification.
